What a Summer!
8 fetes, 2 Church partnerships, 1 training session, 2 full moon meditations, and one art commission!
This is such a new venture for us and it’s been so encouraging to see God working through it - then we know it’s not just us, but the Spirit is at work!
We just love sharing with you the stories of God at work through Kadosh so here a few from the end of the summer
God, Ghostbusters and rainy day blessings
At the Ormesby fair on Bank holiday Saturday, it was torrential rain ALL DAY! We partnered with wonderful women from Light of Life Baptist Church, but it was clear the day was a washout.
However, God had other plans. Here’s one story from the day.
A team of Ghost Busters (@norfolkghostbusters) who dress up to raise money for E.A.C.H. shacked up in our tent and we got chatting about what they do for charity. After a while, I (Esther) just got this strong sense of God’s heart for what they do for the most vulnerable of children. I challenged the Ormesby team to see if they felt confident to offer to bless them - then I left them to it!
The next thing I knew they were chatting with them, offering to pray over them - which they accepted, giving them prayer paintings to take, chatting about faith, and even then praying for health issues that one of them faced. It was such a beautiful moment of people stepping out to share Jesus and it being beautifully received!
Prophetic words at the Festival of Kindness
Bank Holiday Monday was a beautiful day partnering with MIND at their festival of kindness at Sparrows Nest
I (Esther) spent all day offering a programme of Hand massage, face glitter and Jesus-Deck Readings. We had a busy day serving teas and coffee and chatting
“You’re not forgotten - I see you.”
After a time in prayer the night before I (Esther) had written down words and images I felt God had given me to share. One I had written was "‘for an older lady - You’re not forgotten: I see you.”
One of the first hand-massage clients was a lady. After talking about her life, history and where she was now, I felt God’s prompting to share that word with her. I did, and she was moved to tears, talking about having left church in a time of crisis and since then not going back. We prayed, I gave her a gift and invited her to leave her details to be contacted about our Wild Church.
“Watching the boat leave the harbour”
Another word and image was God was of someone watching a boat leave the harbour and feeling left behind. A lady came for a massage who was feeling empty nest syndrome as well as many other things. I shared the word and talked about how God knew and was there with her. She follows Jesus but finds life difficult so it was a real encouragement to her.
For your prayers…coming soon
Lowestoft’s wellbeing community - since training in Christian Mindfulness I have been praying for opportunities to use this within the wellbeing community in Lowestoft - this community comprises of those exploring their spirituality through yoga, meditation, gong baths, moon circles and crystal healing.
After hosting informal full moon meditations with my sea swimming friends, this summer God opened up the opportunity for me to partner with one of the Yoga teachers and do my meditations after the beach yoga sessions. This has meant that I reach far more people with my Christian-grounded-meditations
Please pray for continued openings here and confidence in God’s leading as I feel huge imposter syndrome!
Mindfulness course:
Please pray as I (Esther) look to run this mindfulness course in October. It’s a beautiful opportunity to share Jesus with people and give them an experience of his presence. It also allows me to link people into the Wild Church Community I facilitate.
Prophetic word:
We have been given a prophetic word for Kadosh about having lots of strings in our bow, and God wanting to add more, maybe in relation to hospitals and social prescribing. Please pray into this as we have opportunities with:
*The NHS as I paint at a spirituality and wellness conference
*The Light College and collective: as I (Esther) have been asked to co-lead a creative evangelism module
